Mind, Body and Soul Kit

This kit is purposed to support the well being of Long Beach Black residents 18+ older. It is curated and designed by Craft+ Light Creative Arts Studio in Partnership with the Long Beach Black Health Collaborative.  

 

Each item in the kit targets the Mind, Body and Soul.  Some of the Items included in the kit are listed below: 

  • COVID-19 prevention resources w/ N-95 mask

  • Free workout session with one of these fitness trainers: Marcus Tappan and Portia Ford. 

  • Candlemaking Kit 

  • Gratitude Journal and Pen

Please note: This kit and the workout session is for Long Beach residents only. 18 and older.

Portia Ford

About Portia
Portia specializes in weight loss, strength/conditioning and muscle development. She was a former track athlete for over 15 years, competing as a Triple Jumper at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Portia took her skills and talents and turned them into a platform to help men and women embrace fitness as a daily part of their routine. Her mission is to empower a healthier and stronger you, by providing various training styles, balanced nutrition and a healthy living. 

Marcus Tappan

About Marcus
He is a NASM certified personal trainer and works at a private facility in Long Beach.  He specializes in weight loss, muscle gain, sports performance in both individual and group trainings. As a  a former Division 1 athlete he found his new passion in helping people live healthier lifestyles and obtaining their fitness goals .
