Encouraging Long Beach Black Residents to Stay Safe, Healthy and Aware.

The Long Beach Black Health Community Fair is a partnership between the Long Beach Ministers Alliance, Craft + Light Creative Arts Studio, Long Beach Medical Center, Bethany Church Long Beach and the Long Beach Black Health Equity Collaborative.  The purpose of the Long Beach Black Health Community Fair is to support and inform Long Beach Black residents of healthy living and prevention against the COVID-19 virus. This safe community fair is organized to greater reach the Long Beach black community and further provide resources (i.e. care packages) and another opportunity to learn about how to be safe during this pandemic and maintain healthy living habits.

We have a fun and safe afternoon planned for adults and kids! Care packages, line dancing, art stations, health screenings, vaccines  and more.

Pick Up 

Need a ride? Three buses will be provided to transport Long Beach residents for free to the fair.  Buses will make two round trips

Morning Bus:  10:30   Afternoon Bus 1:00PM 

​

Bus Locations will be: 

  • Downtown LB:  Drake Park 

  • North LB: Scherer Park 

  • West LB: Cherry/10th Corner

​

Bus Schedule (for all locations) is as follows for arrival and departure times:

Morning Bus: RESERVE SEAT ON BUS

Pick-Up at 10:30AM

Depart Fair at 12:15PM

Afternoon Bus: RESERVE SEAT ON BUS 

Pick-Up at 1:15 PM 

Depart Fair at 2:30P

CARE PACKAGES

Over 100 free COVID-19 Care kits  will be distributed to greater inform Long Beach Black community of COVID-19 prevention and encourage healthy living. 

 

A variety of care packages have been assembled by the Black Health Collaborative for kids and adults.  Some items include: 

  • Kids face masks

  • Blue light filter glasses 

  • Healthy Living guides 

  • Art kits 

  • Sanitizers 

  • Toothbrush and paste 

  • and much more

Long Beach Memorial will be present to provide attendees with health screenings:

  • Cancer 

  • BMI 

​

In addition, LB Medical Center bike safety team will be distributing kid bike helmets. 

​

Long Beach Medical Center will also be distributing the MODERNA vaccine.

This tournament starts at 12PM and is limited to 24 players.    Players will remain safe and wear face coverings during play time. Full game rules will be provided prior to the event. You must register to play. Prize is awarded.
